How Licensing Works
Plans map to seat types that determine what you can do. Free uses a Runner seat with a daily usage limit. Pro and Studio use a Creator seat with full authoring access. Enterprise adds the Approver/Maintainer seat for governance.
Seats activate on a specific machine. After a one-time activation, CRAFT works offline for up to 7 days between token refreshes. Validate is always available — you can inspect any automation regardless of plan or entitlement status. No per-run charges or consumption metering.
Full licensing details — activation, offline behavior, cancellation grace periods, and the seat entitlement model.
Upgrade When You Need More
Free → Pro — When you want to create your own automations or adapt what exists. Triggered naturally when you try Quick Builder or Adapt.
Pro → Studio — When the Quick Builder can't express what you need. You want a test harness, code editor, or component extraction.
Studio → Enterprise — When your team lead asks for governance. You need approval workflows, audit trails, and a library health dashboard.
Publishing & Sharing
Publishing to the shared registry requires a Pro plan or higher with team registry access. Free plan users can run published automations but cannot author or publish.
All publish operations pass through the Gate. Before an automation is published to the registry, it must pass the same Preview/Validate Gate that governs run, export, and import. The Gate verifies dependencies, signatures, and egress before allowing publication.
